Mufti should apologize: Sadhotra
GK NEWS NETWORK
Jammu, Nov 23: The senior National Conference leader Ajay Sadhotra on Tuesday asked the patron of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and former Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed to apologize for leveling “vague allegations” against the NC-led coalition government.
Reacting to the recent statement of the PDP patron about thousands of youth have been arrested from different parts of the state, Sadhotra said, “Efforts of Omar to solve the problems of youth by offering 45,000 jobs has frustrated the PDP. It is astonishing that senior PDP leader is leveling a vague allegation that thousands of youth have been picked up even without acknowledging their arrest.”
He asked the PDP leader to prove the picking up of thousands of youth or tender an apology.
“Mufti Muhammad Sayeed alleging that ruling NC led coalition government is surviving through atrocities is ridiculous. It depicts Mufti’s frustration, as his vigorous efforts to dislodge the Omar led government have failed miserably as the situation in Jammu and Kashmir after the turmoil is fast returning to normal,” Sadhotra said.
Taking a dig at the senior Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Prof Chaman Lal Gupta, Sadhotra said that issueless BJP was trying to make issues of the non-issues to befool the people on one pretext or the other i.e. on Article 370 of the constitution of India and ban on delimitation of Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies.
“The BJP should recall that ban on the bar of delimitation was put by the NDA government under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee then Prime Minister, by amending constitution of India. And when JK Constitution and JK representation of peoples Act was amended in order to bring uniformity in the country on the issue, BJP was also present in the JK Assembly and no amendment was brought by any party to it including the BJP. Now BJP is befooling the people on one pretext or the other, sometimes on Article 370, sometimes on 73rd and 74th amendment of the Constitution of India,” Sadhotra added.
