Sales Tax complex to be ready by March 2011

Srinagar, Nov 23: The Sales Tax (ST) department complex at Aloochi Bagh, Srinagar being constructed at a cost of Rs 30 crore will be ready by March 2011, an official handout Tuesday said.
This was revealed during the inspection of the upcoming complex by Commissioner Finance, Sudhanshu Pandey and other senior officials including Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr Asgar Samoon, IGP Kashmir, SM Sahai, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Mehraj Ahmad Kakroo.
“An amount of Rs. 26 crore has been incurred so far on the complex and about 90 percent work of the first phase of the complex has been completed,” the handout said.
Pandey directed the executing agency to also construct Sewerage Treatment Plant for the complex. He also instructed for acquiring 17 kanals of land for parking, residential quarters etc.
Pandey said the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir would monitor the pace of work on the complex so that complex is completed within the stipulated time.
