Govt’s rehab policy threat to national security: NPP

Jammu, Nov 24: National Panthers Party today said the return of militants from Pakistan Administered Kashmir as envisaged by government’s rehabilitation policy, posed a ‘threat to the country’s security.’
“They can create havoc not only in J&K, but in country when they return from PaK “, NPP Chairman, Bhim Singh told reporters here.
The cabinet has cleared a rehabilitation policy for youth, who exfiltrated from the state for training in PaK and Pakistan, but have given up activities and are willing to join the mainstream.
He alleged that government was doing what separatists, including Jama’at-i-Islami, had been doing all these years of turmoil.
Criticizing Omar for raking up the issue of Accession/Merger of J&K with the India, Bhim asked Congress leadership to explain its silence on his “controversial” utterances.
Asking Congress to withdraw support to NC in J&K, Bhim urged PM, Manmohan Singh to take care of J&K affairs directly.
Informing his party’s decision to start “social boycott” of Congress Ministers/MLAs in J&K, the JKNPP leader said, “This is the only way to express resentment against the anti-national activities carried out by NC-led government, which is patronized by Congress.”
