Intoxicating drugs recovered

AUTO DRIVER HELD, ACCOMPLICE FLEES

Srinagar, Nov 24: The Excise officials on Wednesday recovered a cache of intoxicating drugs from an auto rickshaw at Aloocha Bagh locality. The accused driver was nabbed but his accomplice managed to flee.
 At the tip off a team of Excise officials lead by ETO Kashmir and Excise Officer, Muhammad Shafi stopped a auto-rickshaw loaded with the drugs worth thousands of rupees.
 “The intoxicating drugs included bottles, packets and capsules of various brands,” Deputy Commissioner Excise, Tasaduq Jeelani told Greater Kashmir.
 He said the consignment was feared to be sold to drug addicts.
 The accused auto driver was identified as Shabir Ahmed whereas his accomplice Raju managed to flee.
 “The case has been handed over to Deputy Drug controller Kashmir and they are probing it,” the DC Excise said.
