Jawahar Nagar reels under darkness

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Nov 24: The residents of Jawahanagar, which is reeling under “prolonged spells of power cuts” for past one month, have criticized the Power Development Department for hours of load shedding in the area.
The power cuts, scheduled and unscheduled, have made the lives of the people miserable in the area, the locals said.
“There is no schedule for power cuts. Whenever concerned employees of PDD feel like, they impose power cuts whether it is during the day or night,” said a resident, Ishfaq Ahmad.
Locals said the PDD had failed to provide them uninterrupted supply even though the area is metered.
When contacted the Chief Engineer, PDD, Manzoor Ahmad Salroo, said the matter would be looked into.
