ERA clarifies
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Nov 26: The Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) today said it had taken up the issue with the BSNL authorities namely SDE, BSNL, “before starting work at Sonwar Chowk.” “In fact, (immediately) before the start of (digging) work at Sonwar Chowk the issue was again taken up by concerned Deputy Project Manager of J&KERA with Executive Engineer (Transmission) Office of GMT BSNL and their representatives were present at the site of work from time to time.” “However, some damages of cables have taken place in spite of all necessary precautions taken while executing the work, which is rather attributable to absence of any conspicuous indication of existence of OFC and its deviated alignment,” it said. To mention this paper had carried a news story under caption “ERA disrupts BSNL service to Ganderbal, Leh.”
