Govt asks DCs, DOs to visit far flung areas

Jammu, Nov 26: The government has asked all the Deputy Commissioners and District Officers to visit far flung and remote areas every Wednesday of the week and conduct meetings for disposal of the public grievances.
 The General Administrative Department in its order, issued here on Friday, has reminded the officials that the government has issued orders in this regard earlier. The officials have also been asked to conduct surprise inspections for monitoring attendance of the employees, particularly in the remote and far flung areas.
 “The HODs, Deputy Commissioners and the Districts Office are again strongly enjoined upon to submit copies of the tour notes to the concerned Administrative Departments with copies to the Chief Minister's Secretariat and the General Administration Department in the prescribed format on quarterly basis”, the order reads.
