HDFC Bank declared as ‘best pvt bank in India’

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Nov 26: The HDFC Bank has been declared as the ‘Best Private Bank in India’ in the 2010 Global Private Banking Awards. The awards are presented by The Banker - a Financial Times Business publication and the Professional Wealth Management (PWM) magazine, the Bank in a statement said.
The awards focussed on the alignment of interests between banks, their relationship managers and their clients, it said.
Entrants, according to the statement, were judged on their ability to adapt their business model to the new regulatory environment, generate sustainable long-term adjusted returns and offer trusted advice to wealthy investors.
The awards took into consideration how companies coped with the aftermath of the financial crisis in addition to examining innovations in improving service to clients.
In all, 75 submissions were judged by an expert panel of 7 industry professionals based in North America, Asia and Europe reflecting the worldwide nature of these Awards.
A significant input in the evaluation of the quantitative aspects of the private banking groups was provided by the 8th annual private banking key performance indicators benchmark study, carried out by Scorpio Partnership this year.
