SKIMS hosts seminar on brain tumor

Srinagar, Nov 27: The SK Institute of Medical Sciences Soura on Saturday organized a daylong seminar on Brain Tumor at the hospital auditorium. Department of Pathology had organized the event.
An official handout said during the seminar the role of “Neuro-Imaging, CSF Cytology and Stereotactic Surgery in diagnosis of brain tumor were discussed.”
“Dr Sheema Senior Resident, Deptt. of Pathology presented the data and during discussion it was revealed that in the last 4 years, 17 cases of lymphoma of the brain have been diagnosed at SKIMS.”
Department of Medical Oncology, Radio-Therapy, Neurosurgery and Pathology took part in the deliberations.
Prof Sheikh Aejaz, Head Dept of Medical Oncology chaired the session.
