Srinagar, Nov 29: “J&K Bank ensures that its customers get world-class banking services and facilities right at their doorsteps.”
 “Besides, we have tailor-made financial products for all the sections of our society. People must come forward and avail these products and facilities to improve their economic well-being.”
 This was stated by J&K Bank President Tafazal Hussein while addressing a gathering at the inaugural ceremony of the Bank’s 325th ATM here at Khandah, Budgam. 
 The inaugural function, according to a statement by the Bank, witnessed a good gathering of valuable customers, senior citizens, traders and local residents of the area.
 He said that J&K Bank is primarily focusing on customer convenience and technology assumes unprecedented significance in this context. We have plans to install more ATMs across rural areas of the state for the benefit of rural population. “As of now, more than 8 lakh of our customers use JK Bank ATM cards.”
 “The Bank has forayed into various technology driven services like net banking, mobile banking & scores of other services for greater customer convenience. We are considering to enable our ATM network to receive electric bills. The Bank is strong enough to uphold all working parameters as such safety standards are high for the investors,” said Tafazal Hussein.
 About various schemes, he stated that all schemes of the Bank are tailor-made to suit varied public needs. “We are open to any suggestions to improve our public reach,” he said and impressed upon the gathering to inculcate saving habit and reap benefits of other remunerative schemes of the Bank.
 Tafazal Hussein also handed over Scooter keys financed by the Khanda branch to a physically challenged person working in one of the government departments. “The bank processed my case in a hassle free manner and this timely finance for purchasing a scooter will definitely enhance my performance while on duty,” said the physically challenged employee.
 Meanwhile, speaking on the occasion Zonal head, Kashmir (Central) Abdul Hamid Banday said, “These Automated Teller Machines have helped reduce the footfall of customers at our branches considerably.  These machines have brought banking services to peoples door steps and they can have access to their hard-earned money 24x7.”
 The Zonal Head impressed upon the gathering to fully utilize the different services rendered by the Bank for their economic uplift  and prosperity. “We are untiringly devising innovative product lines to suit the public desire”, he said
 Present on the occasion, Sheikh Hussain, a respectable resident of the area recollected his personal experience at Saudi Arabia where, he said, he was able to transact easily and efficiently because of JK Bank ATM card.
 People of the area have appreciated the role of Bank, its efforts of people’s empowerment and assured of their complete co-operation to the Bank.
 In the end, Cluster Head Manzoor Ahmad Wani presented the vote of thanks.
