What now?

This refers to the article 'What Now?' by Dr Rumana Makhdoomi. I completely agree with the author that hartal politics has done us no good and instead crushed half of our population without any positive outcome. We need an unconventional result oriented strategy to achieve freedom rather than aiming in the dark which our leaders are doing at present. The recent hype created by our leaders about the Obama visit and then their muted disappointment should serve as a lesson for them. As regards the intellectuals in Kashmir, they only like to make their careers. The common man will never take such people seriously. History stands testimony to it. Take a cue from Gandhi and Mandela; they lived their life and suffered all difficulties like their people did. But what are we doing here?
