Div Com fines smoker

Srinagar, Nov 3: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Dr Asgar Samoon on Wednesday caught a person Ghulam Qadir Gassi smoking in public park within his office compound and imposed a fine of Rs 200, an official handout said.
 “Departmental action has also been proposed against the security officer incharge of the main gate, for not preventing the person from carrying cigarettes inside the complex,” it added.
 “It may be mentioned that smoking in public places is banned under COTPA and offenders are liable for a fine upto Rs 200.”
