Residents seek Chief Engineer’s intervention

Srinagar, Nov 3: Residents of Khawaja Bagh and Sarfaraz Colony, Zakura have complained that the suburb area was plunged into darkness for the past three days.
They said the Power Development Department (PDD) officials have been pleading the “delay in restoration” of supplies saying there was a “major fault in the system.”
“If it takes weeks to repair Mohalla faults than the one can only imagine the performance of the department in the 21st century,” said a delegation of locals.
With examination going on, the residents said their children were facing inconvenience in the absence of electricity.
“They can’t concentrate properly towards studies at this crucial hour of their career,” the residents said.
They have appealed the Chief Engineer PDD to look into the matter and get the supplies restored at an earliest
