Major Purushottam remembered
Srinagar, Nov 3: The army has paid tributes to Major P Purushottam and other men who were killed in a fidayeen attack at Badami Bagh cantonment at Sonwar here in 1999.
In a communiqué, the army said a ceremony was held at the Badami Bagh Cantonment wherein floral tributes were paid to the memory of Major Purushottam and other men.
Major Purushottam, who was posted as Public Relations Officer was killed in the militant attack.
“He was a brave and compassionate person. Just a few months before his death, he organized the media coverage of Kargil War,” Defence spokesperson, Lt Col J S Brar said.
