Think again
The recent statement by Geelani that next ten days are crucial for the ongoing struggle sounds like the movement is on life support and there is danger that it can breathe its last. If Geelani is attributing things to Obama's visit to India, it will be wishful thinking. President Obama is visiting India with two main objectives, one is to expand more markets for U.S. companies and the other to strengthen the Indo-US relations to counter the Chinese influence in SEA economically and militarily. Obama has cancelled his visit to Golden Temple so that he does not have to cover his head and his detractors back home dub him a Muslim. Think about any comment in support of Kashmir and it will be construed as Muslim support by the Republicans during the elections which Obama does not want to happen. Under these circumstances if Geelani is hoping any favourable gesture from Obama on Kashmir issue, he should hold his breath and look some where else for help.
