SDA colony threatens protests on power
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Nov 6: The residents of SDA Colony Bemina have threatened to stage protests should the Power Development Department (PDD) “fail to improve” power supply to the area.
The residents said the power goes off for most part of the day.
“We are without electricity for around 18 hours a day,” the residents said.
They said the situation was worst for the “HIG and MIG sectors” of the colony adding that this pesky supply had made their life miserable.
They accused the PDD of making every excuse to switch off the power.
“Even if wind blows a bit fast, our colony is plunged into darkness,” the residents said adding that the same was true during rains.
They appealed the concerned Superintending Engineer to look into the matter at an earliest.
