SKIMS HOSTS SEMINAR ON LAPAROSCOPY

Srinagar, Nov 6:  The SK Institute of Medical Sciences Soura on Saturday organised a seminar on Minimal Access (Laparoscopic) Surgery.
 An official handout said the seminar was conducted by department of General Surgery, SKIMS.
 “The department presented its laparoscopic work conducted in the year 2009-2010 and highlighted the workshops conducted in the year on advanced laparoscopic procedures by nationally and internationally acclaimed faculty like Dr Sailesh Puntambekar and Prof Kiran Kothari,” it added.
 “The seminar was presented by Dr Iftikhar Bakshi, Senior Resident, Department of Surgery and moderated by Dr Ajaz A Malik,  Additional Professor and Rouf A Wani, Assistant Professor.”
 The session was chaired by Prof O J Shah while other faculty members including Prof Khursheed Alam Wani, HOD General Surgery, Prof Nisar A Chowdri, Prof Showkat Zargar, HOD Gastroenterology, Dr Sameer H Naqash and Dr Fazl Q Parray participated in the deliberations.
