Unfortunate this
The attack on Shabir Shah in Jammu is part of a conspiracy to put pressure on the separatists. First a shoe was thrown at Syed Ali Geelani in a Conference in New Delhi, then the house a noted writer Arundhati Roy was attacked for speaking in favour of Kashmiri people. BJP criticized the Chief Minister for making honest comments about the history of Kashmir dispute and even threatened to launch an agitation. By suppressing voices like this does not mean that the purpose of such voices can be gagged. BJP is a party whose Prime Minister had a one to one meeting with Shabir Shah and it was during Vajpyee's tenure as the Prime Minister of India that a serious attempt was made at resolving Kashmir dispute by holding Agra Summit with General Parvez Musharaff. It was Vajpayee who promised Autonomy to Kashmir within all possible human limits. BJP should know that there is a genuine problem to be solved and they just cannot make politics by adopting such cheap tactics. Also separatists should strongly raise their voices in Jammu and Ladakh region to gather support for the cause since separatists also hold the opinion that aspirations of the three regions have to be addressed.
