2 militants killed: Army
Srinagar, Nov 8: Army on Monday said that it foiled an infiltration bid in frontier district of Kupwara by killing two militants.
“Troopers noticed some suspicious movement along the Line of Control (LoC) and laid an ambush in Tangdhar this morning. As soon as the troops intercepted the militants, they fired on them. The gunfire was retaliated, triggering an encounter between the two sides,” army’s Srinagar based spokesman said.
"Two unidentified militants were killed in the ensuing gunfight," he said adding, the operation was on when reports last came in.
