` 5.94 Cr plan for Tagore Hall

Srinagar, Oct 9: The Tagore Hall Srinagar is being renovated and modernized at an estimated cost of about Rs. 5.94 crore.
This was stated by the Minister of State for Culture, Nasir Sogami in reply to a question of Muhammad Yousuf Taing in Legislative Council Saturday, an official handout said.
Sogami said the Tagore hall was one among the main auditoriums of Srinagar city.
He said 60% of the renovation work is expected to be completed during the current financial year and the remaining be completed during Ist quarter of next fiscal. Immediately, thereafter the auditorium shall be thrown open, he added.
Replying supplementaries, the Minister said that “all the modern facilities including new audio system, air conditioning, etc would be completed during the current year.”
