GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Oct 10: Burglars last night struck Sir Syed Avenue, Humhama and decamped with service lines plunging many a residential house into darkness.
The residents said at around 2:00 AM the power supply suddenly went off.
“When I peeped out from the window I found a private car rushing out of the colony,” a local said.
He said similar situation was faced many in the neighbourhood who came out of their houses to find that the main supply line cables had been stolen.
A Power Development Department official posted in the area said such reports had been pouring in for the past few months.
“In the past, we heard about such complaints from Gulberg Colony and Gul Bahar Colony, Hyderpora… This one seems to be the latest,” the official said.
