Banks advance Rs 34 cr in Q1 for industry in Islamabad

Islamabad, Oct 12: Out of Rs 14999.88 lakh earmarked under current years district Credit Action Plan, Rs.3391.40 lakh have been advanced for establishment of 2924 income generating units during the first quarter in Islamabad district.
This, according to an official statement, was stated at a district level review/consultative committee meeting held here today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Islamabad, S Jai Pal Singh.
Giving details of the achievements of the district Credit Plan, the District Lead Bank officer Shadi Lal said that under agriculture and its allied sectors, the advancement of Rs 2302.69 lakh was made for establishment of 2310 income generating units. While as Rs 1088.71 lakh have been advanced for setting up of 614 units under non- farm, SSI and other priority sectors.
The DDC stressed upon the officers of various Financial Institutions and Line Departments to redouble their efforts and have the target achieved in full within the stipulated time.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Showkat Ahmad Fazli, Assistant General Manager, RBI, K C Kundan and officers of various Banks and Line Departments.
