Haider colony Soura road in shambles

Srinagar, Oct 12: The roads at Haider Colony, Upper Soura are in a bad condition, the suburb colony residents said.
 They said the roads got dilapidated since a drain being constructed there was abandoned allegedly halfway.
  “We are suffering because of the abandoned drainage connection and road restoration (for a length of about 300 meters),” the residents said. They said during rains they have to tread in knee deep waters.
 “The people cannot even attend the prayers in the adjacent Masjid,” they said adding the worst plight was near the Masjid itself.
  “A connection from the dead end of the pipes with the drain ending near the mosque has been left half way by the construction agency for the reasons best known to them,” the residents said.
 They appealed the concerned authorities to look into the matter.
