Justified demands

This refers to the news item “KAS aspirants smell rat in the selection list.” Every time PSC declares any selection list people doubt the fairness of the selection list. PSC has not a good track record. To give credibility to the doubts it has not published the names of the selected candidates. For the past two years bureaucrats and politicians created an abnormal hype for dragging youth towards state and central administrative services. As a result medicos, vets, engineers, agricultural scientists, college and university teachers started running to secure their names in these services without giving a thought that they could serve the community in better ways. PSC must comprise academics of repute and integrity, scientists of eminence and not retired and politically affiliated bureaucrats and policemen. PSC in its KAS preliminary results published roll numbers of 50,000 candidates with marks. Why this time in KAS mains results the commission is hesitant to publish the marks of about 1250 candidates. People are justified in their demand.
