New Convent students appeal authorities

Srinagar, Oct 12: The 11th class students of New Convent Higher Secondary School Barzulla have alleged that the school authorities were pressurizing them to attend the examinations for the both the Terms at once.
 A delegation told Greater Kashmir that the date sheet for Term 1st has been announced by the Board of School Education. However, the school authorities were asking them to attend simultaneously the examination of Term 2nd also, they alleged. They said Board had assured them that Term 2nd exam would be conducted orally, but school authorities were saying it would be in written. “We have to attend the Term 1 exam in the morning session and Term 2nd in the evening session,” they said. “We have not completed the Term 1 syllabus, how can we give Term 2nd exam,” they said urging the authorities to reconsider their decision.
 The principal of the school was not available for comment.
