Rs 11 cr utilized in Kulgam

Kulgam, Oct 12: Out of Rs 21.07 crores under District Annual Plan as much as of Rs 11.11 crores have been booked on implementation of various development and welfare schemes by ending August last in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
This was revealed at a meeting of district officers held here under the chairmanship of MLA Kulgam M Y Tarigami to review the achievements made under the plan in the district.
While giving the details of the achievements made under various sectors in Kulgam District the District Development Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Khan said that Rs 3.20 crores have been spent under R&B sector, Rs 8.49 lakhs under PHE sector, Rs 23.51 lakhs under minor irrigation, Rs 87.42 lakhs under Education Sector and Rs.9.49 lakhs under health sector.
Under NREGA job cards have been issued to 27139 families. Out of 2120 works as many as 53 works completed generating 81452 man days with an expenditure of 158.95 lacs in the district, the meeting was informed. Similarly out of 1652 IAY houses, 206 houses have been completed.
