LAWDA directed to speed up cleaning, dredging of Dal Lake

Srinagar, Oct 14: The Minister of State for Tourism and Housing and Urban Development Sogami on Thrusday took on spot stock of cleaning and dredging of Dal Lake.
An official handout said the Minister was accompanied by Vice Chairman Lake and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA), Irfan Naseem and other senior officers.
The Minister directed the, LAWDA VC to speed up manual cleaning by engaging maximum number of labours in shifts so that the job will be completed as soon as possible. He also directed him to activate technical wing of the LAWDA to take maximum work from the deweeding machines round the clock to clear worst effective patches of the Dal
