27 fined in drive against adulterated food

Srinagar, Oct 15: 27 traders, including milkmen were Thursday fined during a drive against the adulterated food by City’s Health Officer.
 In a statement, the Health Officer, Dr Reyaz Ahmed said a team of SMC sleuths led by him conducted surprise check at the livestock checkpost at Pantha Chowk on the City outskirts.
 “All misfit food items including adulterated food and vegetables were destroyed on the spot,” he said asking people to check the expiry date of food products they procure.
