Education debate
This refers to the box letter titled “Why let these tender souls suffer” by Majid Raina. Education is important. The author is right when he says that children should not suffer while people continue with their struggle for freedom. But the author needs to verify some of his points regarding the impact of strikes calls and the sufferings of the people. I fail to understand what is the need to put your children in serious danger by sending them to schools during the strike days? There is every possible that the ‘paid’ miscreants will target their buses to defame the freedom struggle and the leaders. Now the question: who is at the receiving end? There is not a single place in Kashmir which has not rendered the unflinching sacrifices for the freedom struggle. He has pointed out some places of as not obeying the strike calls. He is wrong. People follow the protest calendar in letter and spirit.
