Begum Khoda visits Police Housing colonies

Srinagar, Oct 16: Chairperson, Jammu and Kashmir Police Families Welfare Association, Dr Indu Kaul Khoda on Saturday visited Police housing colonies at Bemina and Zewan.
 A police handout said: “During her visit, she took stock of the various welfare measures being undertaken by the association, for overall welfare and benefit of police families.”
 Dr Indu, who is the wife of Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda also visited the Police Welfare Centre in the vicinity of Police Housing Colony, Bemina.
 She held interactive sessions with the families of policemen residing in the police colonies and heard their grievances.
 “She assured them of every possible help and assistance,” the handout said.
 “Some of the proposals, which the Chairperson, agreed to look into on priority include improving the living conditions of the inhabitants of both Police Housing Colonies by providing better basic amenities, imparting of vocational training in knitting, and tailoring to the wards of Policemen at Police Welfare centre, to make them skilled and self-reliant and re-shaping the existing playground into a football  ground on modern lines.”
 Dr Indu was accompanied by other members of the association.
