Graft charges

This refers to the news “14 MLAs face graft charges.” The Omar Abdullah led state government seems to be corrupt to the core. Among the MLAs, shockingly, are to sitting ministers including the Minister for Education Peerzada Muhamamd Sayeed and Minister for Irrigation and Flood Control, Taj Mohiuddin. The state government recently issued a list of corrupt officials which includes some KAS and IAS officers as well. If there are established cases against the ministers and bureaucrats, why save them by delaying action against them. The state government seems to be steeped in corruption. That is why it is not initiating action against the accused people. If Omar Abdullah really means business, he must remove all the ministers and get a fresh team to run the beleaguered state. State has been ranked at no 2 in the list of most corrupt states. We shall soon be no 1.
