Srinagar, Oct 23: Ahead of US President Barack Obama's visit to India early next month, a high level meeting to review the security situation across the state was held, here on Saturday.
 Official sources said that the meeting, chaired by the Security Advisor to the chief minister Omar Abdullah Lt Gen NC Marwah, focused on the joint strategy to be evolved by all the security agencies to ensure peace across the state, especially in Valley.
 The meeting deliberated on the prevailing security environment in the Valley, while taking a holistic review of the joint strategy evolved to restore normalcy in the state, an official spokesman said.
 He said that discussion focused on refining strategy formulated in the last meeting in light of the ground situation and take the level of synergy between all agencies to the next level to thwart any attempts by inimical elements to destabilise the Valley.
 The meeting was attended by DGP and senior officers of the Army, CRPF, BSF and Civil Administration.
