MKM condemns slapping of PSA against Raja
Srinagar: Muslim Khawateen Markaz has condemned the invocation of PSA against its incarcerated chairperson, Yasmeen Raja and her shifting to central jail here.
Yasmeen Raja, according to Markaz statement, was arrested by police at New Colony Tulbagh, Pampore, on October 26. “She was first lodged in Police Station Pampore and shifted to women’s police station here on the same night. PSA was slapped on her on October 28, and she was shifted to Central Jail. Three FIRs have been registered against her. Besides, she was booked under PSA on various charges by the district magistrate, Pulwama,” Markaz said in a statement, terming her detention as an act of political ‘reprisal’ by the government.
