Release them
This refers to the news “Govt to review PSA detentions.” If the state government intends to do so, it must do it quickly. There is an urgent need of some Confidence Building Measures with regard to Kashmir crisis. All the youth who have been detained under PSA must be released. The charges leveled against them must be withdrawn so that they can live a dignified life. Protests are a worldwide phenomenon. But nowhere in the world are people arrested for raising voice against the human rights violations. The Government of India must understand the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and not crush them with the use of force. Already over 100 civilians have fallen to police and CRPF bullets and at least 2000 have been injured. Let the bloodshed end now.
