SICOP functioning reviewed
Srinagar, Oct 8: Commissioner/Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department Umang Narula Friday visited the SICOP office to assess the working of the Corporation.
During his visit, Narula assessed the overall working of the Corporation. He exhorted the officers and employees of the corporation to work with more zeal and ensure that quality services are made available to the SSI units and the government departments.
He, according to an official statement, stressed the need to bring about qualitative changes aimed at exploring the possibilities of tapping the high potential of marketing the end products of the SSI units to the central government departments and private market so that additional avenues become available to the local industry for marketing of products.
Managing Director, SICOP RK Razdan, briefed the Commissioner/Secretary about the activities of the Corporation.
The officers of the corporation assured the Commissioner/Secretary that they would continue to work with dedication so that the benefit of the government policies percolates to the industry as a whole.
