Ascent Group to provide free 24x7 coaching

Srinagar, Sep 10: The City based Ascent Group, which provides coaching for various exams plans to groom 25 candidates from Kashmir free of cost for UPSC Civil Services examination by providing them 24x7 training.
“The selection procedure for coaching will comprise of a written test followed by a Personal Interview,” the Convenor, Board of Advisors Ascent Group and IAS (Retd) MS Pandit told Greater Kashmir.
Giving the details, Pandit said: “The candidates will be required to possess the minimum qualification of graduation, with at least 55% marks for candidates with Arts subjects and 60% for those with Science subjects… For the selected candidates, the entire course, including boarding and lodging, will be free”.
Pandit added: “The Ascent Group looks up to philanthropic institutions and individuals for funding of the expenditure to be incurred for the candidates selected on the basis of the screening test and interview.”
Pertinently, the institute has completed counselling of some 60 candidates for KAS’ 09 Examination and is currently running a batch of 40 students for KAS’10.
