RK staff dismayed over dir’s remarks
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Sept 10: The Radio Kashmir Srinagar staff has expressed dismay over what they said the, “concocted stories” floated allegedly by the station director about the unprofessional orientation of the different cadres.
In a statement, the staff associations including Programme Staff Association, Akashvani Announcers Association and Administrative Staff Association said “it was deeply unfortunate that their integrity and credentials were being called into question by the Station Director who is allegedly involved in rampant financial irregularities.”
“The facts about the Director’s financial misdeeds have been communicated to the top brass of Prasar Bharati in the right earnest, and it was out of sheer frustration that he was now leveling unfounded charges of corruption and professional incompetence on the staff,” the statement said, adding the Director was given to “encroach upon the well demarcated territories of different officers of the staff, thus creating a stifling air throughout the station.”
The statement emphasized that no other Association represents the employees and that the Station Director “is floating names of fake employees’ forums in an effort to blunt the just agitation of the staff.”
