Srinagar, Sept 16: Greater Kashmir’s City Page Editor, Majid Hyderi was roughed
by police and paramilitary CRPF in Hyderpora area of the city suburb
Thursday morning.
Hyderi, who was heading to cover press conference of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani was prevented from attending the news conference and
then cornered by the troopers who snatched his mobile phone and curfew
pass, a few yards away from Geelani’s home.
“After having politely agreed to not to visit Geelani’s lane, I was
returning home when the troops deliberately heckled me and threatened to shoot me,” Hyderi said.
