Photojournalist assaulted

Srinagar, Sept 21:  In yet another assault on the mediamen, force personnel on Tuesday allegedly beat up the lensman of English daily Rising Kashmir at Humhamma here.
 The RK photographer Farooq Ahmed Shah, said he was attacked by paramilitary CRPF men when authorities announced relaxation in the curfew. “Everybody was venturing out of their homes and so did I. CRPF men beat me up with bamboo sticks mercilessly somehow I managed to escape from their clutches. Locals rushed   me to Bone and Joints hospital where I was asked to undergo an X-ray which showed fracture in my arm. I also received three stitches in my head.”
Kashmir Photographers Association has condemned the assault on the photojournalist.
