Good move

The all-party delegation’s meeting the separatists was indeed a very welcome and a much-needed move. For a change this time the delegation met the wide spectrum of the people and even visited hospitals. We must give credit to parliamentarians for talking to people. One can only hope that this delegation takes a serious note of what is happening in Kashmir and accordingly take steps to diffuse the current crisis. It would have been better if the separatists had met the delegation and had a normal close door meeting with them. We must have confidence in our leadership and they should know that the public has reposed trust in them and public should also know that the separatists would not compromise on the integrity of the people of Kashmir. The time is not far when we have to give our leadership the mandate to negotiate on our part and the leadership should be confident enough to do that.
