No concessions
This refers to the comments made by Munshi Subash (GK 24-09-2010) regarding the Kashmir crisis. It seems Mr Subash is under this impression that Kashmiris are asking for some concessions or benefits from the Government of India. First he must understand that decision to send all party delegation to Kashmir was taken by the Government of India on its own and Kashmiris never requested for it. Let it be
known to the writer and other like-minded people of Indian civil society that Kashmiris are demanding their right to self determination which has been promised to them by not only several Indian leaders but also by the international community through various resolutions passed in the UN General Assembly. The leadership of India is fully aware that time has come to solve the issue.
