APSCC meets Badal,condemns Kashmir killings

Srinagar, Sept 2: The All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee Coordinator, Jagmohan Singh Raina today met Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal and condemned the killing of 65 people including teenagers in Kashmir Valley.
The APSCC deputation urged Badal to impress upon the state and central government not to discriminate the Sikh minorities at the cost of other minorities and migrants living in the sate.
“The valley is caught between sate and central level politics, which has ruined the valley socially, economically and politically. It not only tortured the lives of the majority community, but also have affected the minority (Sikhs) community at large, as recent threatening letters to Sikhs, stone pelting at Sikh houses during night chopping of hair of Sikh youth etc. are some incidents that has made Sikhs worried about their future in the state. But the state and Centre is mum on these issues,” they told the visiting Punjab minister.
They put forth the demands of the Sikh community and urged Badal to take up these with the state and central government.
