HDFC Bank remains open on Friday

Srinagar, Sept 3: All the HDFC Bank branches in the Valley remained open on Friday, despite being a holiday.
A senior executive of the bank said the branches were kept open all through the day. He said the bank had also remained open last Sunday and shall remain open on the coming Sunday as well. He said the step was taken for the convenience of customers. “The customers have appreciated our initiative,” he said.
BAGS BUSINESS LEADERSHIP AWARD
The HDFC Bank has bagged the ‘Best Bank in Private Sector’ award at the NDTV Business Leadership Awards 2010. Executive Director, Paresh Sukthankar received the award on behalf of the Bank.
NDTV Profit, an English business news channel announced its fifth edition of the Business Leadership Awards at a grand function in Mumbai on Wednesday, HDFC Bank said in a statement. Union Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee was the Chief Guest.
