Karate, Mir address public meeting in Budgam
Srinagar, Sept 3: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bita Karrate and senior vice-chairman Javid Ahmad Mir on Friday alleged that armed forces had beaten all the records of the world’s tyrant armies in Kashmir.
The Front leaders were addressing a public meeting at the shrine of Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Wali (RAH) at Dregam in Budgam district of central Kashmir on the occasion of Jumat-ul-Wida today.
They appealed to all the champion of human rights to collect the record of all the human rights violations allegedly perpetrated by the armed forces in Kashmir and present it in the international institutions.
Reacting to the statements of the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, the Front leaders alleged these statements were aimed to buy time and create wedge in the unity of pro-freedom organizations. “By referring to a particular group, Chidambaram has issued these statements to divide Kashmiris in the name of talks,” they said, according to Front statement.
“The Indian parliamentarians have now acknowledged that India was holding Kashmir by dent of military might. After using the pellet guns to kill innocent civilians in Kashmir to silence their popular voice, the Indian authorities were thinking of using new weapons to kill them,” said Front leaders.
Special prayers were offered on the occasion for the speedy recovery of injured civilians and ailing incarcerated leaders and release of all detainees.
The other Front leaders present on the occasion include chief organizer Shafa’at Ahmad Singhloo, Muhammad Rafiq Bhat, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, Nazir Badgami, Zahir Abass, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah and Javid Ahmad.
