‘Widen Chrari-Sharief Road’

Residents appeal CM

Srinagar, Sept 4: Residents of Channapora, Natipora, Lal Nagar, Baghi Mehtab have demanded immediate widening and blacktopping of the Srinagar Chrari-Sharief Road. A delegation from the area said while blacktopping of roads was in full swing, the all important road leading to the shrine of Sheikh-ul-Aalam, one of the most revered shrines of Kashmir, has been neglected.

“Last year only a single lane of the road was laid. Keeping in view the traffic and importance of the road, it needs immediate widening and blacktopping,” a resident of Channapora said.

The delegation appealed the chief minister, who is in-charge of the Roads and Buildings Department, to look into the matter.
