Eid in KSA likely on Sept 10

Jeddah, Sept 4: Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to take place on Friday, September 10, according to the Department of Astronomy at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz University.

This means Muslims in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would enjoy 30 days of Ramadan fasting. Hassan Basarrah, head of the department, said the moon would begin to wax on Wednesday 10 minutes before the sunset in all parts of the Kingdom.

At that moment the moon will be three degrees below the horizon at Maghreb in Makkah, Al-Eqtisadiah reported on Friday.
