Sumbal (Bandipora), Sept 4: Police Saturday busted a gang of burglars allegedly involved in three cases of thefts in Sumbal and Bandipora.
 Bandipora police identified them as Showkat Ahmed Sofi and Nadeem Gulzar involved in Higher Secondary Burglary case, Reyaz Ahmed Malla and Javid Ahmed Dar accused of masquerading as militants and Barkat Ali, Irshad Ahmed, Muhammad Shaban and Ali Muhammad involved in stealing 16 cement packets in Mukhdamyari Hajin.

 A police official said that three computers and cash Rs 2000 was recovered from the burglars. He said the computers were stolen from Higher secondary School Sumbal while money was forcibly looted from Bilal Ahmed Bhat, a driver of Bashpora. Three fake guns have been recovered from them, he said.
