Mian Qayoom shifted to Kote Balwal
Srinagar, Sept 5: Police on Sunday shifted the incarcerated President of High Court Bar Association (HCBA), Mian Abdul Qayoom, from Hiranagar Jail to Kote Balwal Jail in Jammu, a HCBA spokesman said.
“Court had directed the state government to shift Qayoom to jail in Kashmir Valley instead he has been shifted to another jail in Jammu region, which is violation of the court order,” he added
Pertinently, Qayoom was arrested on July 7 and detained under Public Safety Act.
