Teacher has a great role to play

I am a teacher. I don't claim any importance. I am as insignificant as a molecule in the entire  Teaching Community. I have an experience of 13 years only and I am becoming more and more aware of the role and responsibilities of a teacher by every passing year.

Dr. Sarvapoli Radha Krishnan in whose memory and reverence, we celebrate "Teachers' Day", every year on 5th September is a name to follow. This year too we observed the day and paid tribute to this great philosopher of his time. We marked the occasion to renew our pledge with our profession of teaching.
A teacher is the real maker of history. He is the architect, who builds, shapes and reshapes the world of the young. No body can deny the fact that the teacher is the real nation builder. Almost in all the progressive and leading countries of the world, teachers played their role successfully and brought about prosperity and progress of the land. Hence a teacher is the person, who plans for future for the whole nation.

It's only a teacher with a vibrating sense of teaching who can infuse a new life into his taught. It is his teaching skill, his personal influence upon the pupils, his character, his ideals, his plans for future, his dynamism and his life force that works as an alchemy for a child. Its turns the metal to gold.

The first thing he needs to influence his students is Character. Moreover his competence matters a lot. Knowing his subject and the art of addressing his student in the most congenial way possible. That is what makes teacher a real teacher.
