Have already passed resolution: Hurriyat (M)

Srinagar, Sept 7: The Hurriyat Conference (M) on Tuesday said the conglomerate had already passed resolutions on the five conditions including revocation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and release of detainees for restoring normalcy in the Valley.
Reacting to the memorandum forwarded by Hurriyat (G) Chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, to Mirwaiz, a Hurriyat (M) spokesman said the conditions mentioned in it have already been outlined in the resolution passed by Mirwaiz at Jamia Masjid on September 3. The resolution was endorsed by thousands of people present there.
He said other leaders of the conglomerate including Prof Abdul Ghani Bhat, Agha Syed Hassan and Masroor Abass Ansari also passed the resolution in other shrines and Masjids.
The spokesman said on the directions of Mirwaiz, various delegations approached Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Muhammad Yasin Malik to forge unity. “Geelani sahib assured the delegation that he will convey his decision after consulting his party members while Malik sahib responded positively,” he said.

MIRWAIZ UNDER HOUSE ARREST
Meanwhile, authorities on Tuesday placed Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, under house arrest after he returned from historic Jamia Masjid this morning.
The Hurriyat spokesman condemned Mirwaiz’s house arrest and termed it as Government’s frustration.
